Exclusion of specific cases
English: The Institute for Employment Research (IAB), the Research Center of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF-FZ) and the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) jointly conduct a representative longitudinal survey of refugees in Germany. In addition to the survey institute, the cooperation partners also regularly check the quality of the data. In the process, the IAB has noticed interviewers who show very conspicuous time stamps after a certain point in the survey. These seem so unrealistic that the cooperation partners agreed to remove these conspicuous interviews with the entire household from the survey data. In addition, individual variables in sample and method data will be adjusted for these individuals and households. Weighting will be updated accordingly.
Affected are 87 households, with 160 person interviews. Since the size of the exclusion is only 0.65 percent of the realized household interviews from 2021, no differences in the analysis results are expected.
